Vigil on Sunday at the Jefferson Avenue Tops Market in Buffalo

On Sunday, May 22 at 6 p.m., St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, together with the Episcopal Dioceses of Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania, will host an outdoor vigil at the Tops Market on Jefferson Avenue where a white supremacist gunman killed ten people on May 14.

Speakers at the vigil will include the Rev. Paul J. Thomas, pastor of Historic Bethel AME Church in Buffalo; Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church; and the Rev. Traci Blackmon, associate general minister of Justice & Local Church Ministries for The United Church of Christ.

Everyone is invited to join Bishop Sean Rowe, the Rev. Steve Lane, the Rev. Lillian Davis-Wilson, and the people of St. Philip’s at the vigil. Gather at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Landon Street; parking is available on Landon.
