Taking Hold of Jesus by the Tunic: A Sermon by the Rev. Ann Tillman

“It feels like this gospel is telling us if you that if, like me, are relatively comfortable in your life, we should get ready for some discomfort to come our way. And that just doesn’t feel like a happy prospect,” said the Rev. Ann Tillman in today’s sermon. “But Jesus tells us that we need not shrink in fear and turn inward. God’s got our back. Instead, we’re invited to look outward with boldness and courage. To take hold of Jesus by the tunic and follow him by walking ever more fully in his ways, doing the good work of restoring all people to each other and to God in Christ.”
