On Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., from June 3 to July 29, Dr. Gabrie’l Atchison will lead a discussion of “Black Bodies and the Justice of God” by the Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, dean of Episcopal Divinity School at Union Theological Seminary. In the book, Douglas, who visited Buffalo in 2018 to help relaunch the Commission to Dismantle Racism and Discrimination, examines the myths and narratives underlying “stand-your-ground” culture.
